CDC: Danger from Backyard Chicken Flocks

     Three years ago, I produced a story on CBS 8 about the legality---or illegality---of backyard chicken flocks in the city of Montgomery.

     Now a CDC report on salmonella finds flocks like those are the cause of many cases of disease. They trace seven national outbreaks to live bird populations.

     And nine of the 324 illnesses linked to live flocks were in Alabama.
