More Moore.

Pressure is mounting on the GOP to cut any ties with the would-be U.S. Senator from Alabama...including a possible vote to expel him from the Senate if he is elected. From a Saturday story in The Hill:

“This cannot be who we are,” tweeted Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Az.), a first-term senator who has been vocal about his misgivings with the direction the party is headed in the age of President Trump.Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) suggested in a Friday interview on CNN that the Senate could expel Moore if he wins the elections. That would require a two-thirds vote in the upper chamber.

As Alabama News Network reported Friday, there has been no word from Alabama Republican Party Chair Terry Lathan since the Washington Post published allegations that Moore acted sexually with young girls, including one who was 14 at the time, and hd was a state prosecutor in his 30's.
No one at the state party headquarters has returned calls.

State Auditor Jim Ziegler was widely ridiculed for his attempt at justifying Moore's alleged sexual relationship with young girls because of biblical stories, including a difference in age between Jesus and Mary. Many in the national media---including CNN---identified him simply as the State Auditor. Alabamians know him an an unorthodox politician known for attention seeking actions only barely connected to his state position. He had won a single term on the PSC prior to his election for Auditor in 2014.

  1. Send someone to the Republican HQ, which is in the same strip mall as India Palace. I miss that restaurant!
