Including--according to The Montgomery Advertiser---421 people who voted for Nick Saban. The Santa votes probably had an equal-- ZERO--- chance of meaning anything. other than voters feeling cute.
I hope those folks sleep well knowing they ignored the only candidates who could win. Roy Moore, who lost, and Doug Jones who won.
I will give the newspaper credit for reminding readers that the Voter Photo ID law DOES allow voters to use out-of-state drivers licenses to prove who they are...though not where they live.
One more photo from election night at Roy Moore HQ: supporters looked at this NY Times map projected onto a screen at the front of
the room and cheered, but the die was cast...Moore was about to become the first Republican U.S. Senate Nominee to lose in 25 years. There was more red on the map (for Moore) but the blue districts had more people supporting the winner: Democrat Doug Jones. He'll be sworn in on Wednesday.
