Headlines...

Reporters will tell you, endlessly, "we don't write the headlines"...that may have been true in newspaper's heydays, but I suspect it is a lot less true in today's pared down multi-tasking media world.

But this one caught my eye this morning:

Will Private Companies Beat NASA to the Moon?

 

Uh, sorry space.com reporter, but NASA made a certain trip there 50 years ago, so it has already beaten those companies to it.

     And just for arguments sake, those private companies are reaching for the sky by standing on the shoulders of the taxpayer-funded NASA missions.
