About Those Alert Color Codes

  According the BlueAlert.us website, Alabama was the third state to adopt it as a way of calling attention to a police officer being injured or killed. 

     They say it happened on April 16, 2010, though I don't remember hearing about it till Saturday when Lowndes County Sheriff  John Williams was shot and killed. 

     It joins Amber Alerts, used for missing people, In fact in California there are now four alerts:

AMBER, SILVER, BLUE AND YELLOW.
