She's become the first Republican Woman to represent Montgomery in the Legislature.
Charlotte Meadows plans to keep her job as of the President of the Board of the Lead Academy Charter School.
If she does, can she vote on the Education budget and other legislation in which she has a vested interest?
The Ethics Commission told the Advertiser Meadows will:
"...have to be mindful of conflicts of interest as they may arise from time to time and deal with them as they do. At the same time, there is nothing wrong with stepping down from these boards in order to reduce the potential for conflict, but it’s not required."
So there will be a balancing act as far as what bills she can support or oppose, and those she can not. She has also floated the idea of resigning from LEAD.

Resign, Charlotte, resign! Resign from one or the other.
