"The Family" Holds a Prayer Breakfast on February 6th

Two members of the Alabama Congressional delegation are listed as co-sponsors of this year's "National Prayer Breakfast".

One is GOP Representative Robert Aderholt, who is mentioned in a Netflix documentary about the group that organizes the breakfast:

"In its efforts to consolidate its power, the Family has extended its tentacles overseas. One episode of The Family focuses in large part on a trip that Rep. Robert Aderholt, a right-wing politician tied to the group, made to Romania to campaign for anti-LGBTQ rights and advocate for Christian policy."
From a  Rolling Stone article about next week's National Prayer breakfast.

And "The Young Turks" webpage points out Democratic U.S. Senator Doug Jones (D-Alabama) is a new Senate co-chair. Senator "Gordon" Douglas Jones appears on the 2020 invitation.

"The invitation includes some new Democratic names that are not terribly surprising, but reflect the shrinking presence of progressives: Sens. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Doug Jones (D-AL), and Joe Manchin (D-WV)."

I've asked Senator Jones' Press Secretary for confirmation of his co-sponsor position. I'll update this posting when, and if, I receive a response.

UPDATE: No reply from the Senator's office as of Wednesday morning, 1-29-2020
No reply from the senator's office as of the close of business on Thursday, 1-30-2020
