Vegan Cornbread

     I am not vegan, so I found it curious when I went to buy corn bread mix today and spotted a vegetarian version.
     Is there meat in cornbread? 

Apparently so. 
I looked it up:

"The regular Jiffy corn muffin mix contains lard, so it's not vegetarian. But this new vegetarian one is vegan, and you can keep it vegan by using your own egg replacer and non-dairy milk, as I did."

 So there.
