A Race to Watch in November

This week's primary elections has set up a number of interesting races for the General Election in November, including the one for president of the Public Service Commission.

The incumbent is Republican Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh.

The Democratic nominee is Democrat Laura Casey, a lawyer who was ejected from a PSC meeting because she was using her phone's Facebook live feature to show what was happening in the meeting...a hearing about Alabama Power charging customers who install solar power on their residences.

Cavanaugh, as president, was running the meeting at the time.

You would think the PSC would welcome any attention they can get, in the interest of openness. In fact, why doesn't the PSC simply do their own "broadcast" on their taxpayer supported website. Let people see what they do and don't do. Instead of throwing people out, invite them in via the Internet?
