A 38-year-old woman is facing a felony charge after authorities say she excessively paddled a teen.Teasha Lashay Davis is charged with child abuse, according to Etowah County sheriff’s Investigator Brandi Fuller. Authorities say Davis hit a 14-year-old three or more times with a paddle, leaving excessive bruising.Authorities said the child has been removed from the home and placed in a safety plan with a family member.
