Sure, both the Alabama House and Senate have approved the measure to increase the Montgomery County property Tax for school funding, and sent it to the Governor for her consideration.
But so far she has not indicated if she will sign it.
She has to take action of some kind by tomorrow---Monday---the last day of the abbreviated Legislative session. If not it becomes law without her signature.
According to Alabama House Information officer Clay Redden, she can sign it, or add an executive amendment to change it and send it back to both houses on Monday. If they vote against the change (or don't vote on the amendment) the entire bill dies. If they agree with the change, it goes back to the Gov for her signature and then it becomes law as amended.
