It has been 8 months since a huge (is there any other kind?) auto carrying transport ship capsized as it left the port in Brunswick, Georgia. And The Golden Ray is still laying on its side in the water.
None of the crew was injured, but all of the 4,200 vehicles on board are now scrap, and the ship will soon become scrap as well, as workers cut the 656' ship into eight pieces and cart them off for recycling.

The "salvage" team hopes to finish the work before The Atlantic Hurricane season begins on June 1st.
