"Protests are exempt from curfews because Congress
(and mayors) may make no laws that abridge the right of the people
peaceably to assemble and complain to the government," he wrote.
"The government should receive the complaint with thanks, not arrest the people or beat them."
75 year old peace advocate
Martin Gugino, famously pushed
to the ground by a Buffalo, N.Y.
police officer.
All 57 police in that city have resigned from the special unit involved in the incident because two were suspended, but they have not resigned from the police force in that Northern New York State city.
Initially, city officials told reporters Gugino has tripped and fallen. Then the video emerged, telling the truth to the city's lies.
If the resigning officers believe the fellow officers seen in the video did no wrong, should they remain as members of the force?
Gigino is in serious but stable condition.
