Media: Ads are no longer ads


AL.COM, the digital grandchild of the three formerly-largest-daily- newspapers in Alabama, no longer refers to ads as, well, ads.

They are mixed in with the, you know, the stories and stuff....and labeled with a faded blue title proclaiming them:


SPONSOR CONTENT

It is designed to convince readers to actually read the ads sponsor content.
Which in every other way tries to disguise itself as, you know, a story, or feature, or anything other than an ad.
