Positive at University of Alabama

The headlines this weekend must be alarming to parents with children attending The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa:

Over 1,000 students have tested positive for Covid-19 at University of Alabama since classes resumed.

Word of the cases came from the University itself in a news release, with assurances that all is well and under control.

“We remain concerned that off-campus transmission is our greatest risk..."

But does it matter where transmission occurs? Whether a student is infected in a bar off campus or a dining hall on campus, he or she is infected and able to transmit to others.

For whatever reason, the increase in cases seems to be underplayed in stories I've read. Five days or so ago the Princeton Review named UA the #1 Party School in the U.S.
