Hyundai Elantra GT, Elantra GT N Line Dead In The U.S.
"The Elantra's sales numbers (combined sedan and GT) went significantly down from 2018 to 2019 (200,415 versus 175,094), just in time when the Kona gained its momentum and the Venue entered the market. The Kona sales numbers increased from 47,090 to 73,326 during the same period, while the Venue, which was sold in the fourth quarter of 2019, sold a total of 1,077 units."
Not sure how this will impact the Montgomery production, but other vehicle production is slated to begin there soon:
Montgomery, Ala. November 13, 2019 – Today, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) announced the Santa Cruz compact utility vehicle (below) will join the Santa Fe SUV and the Sonata and Elantra sedans at Hyundai’s U.S. automotive assembly plant in Montgomery, starting in 2021. The Santa Cruz was first introduced as a concept at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
