Veterans Day in Montgomery?

Veterans Day 2020 is one week away, but the city of Montgomery's events page includes only this note:

More Information to Follow...

For a few years there was a Veterans Day parade in Montgomery, though it was replaced with an event at Riverwalk Stadium. That may be difficult to pull off this year because of Covid19. We'll see.

And a reminder: Veterans Day honors living veterans, not those who died in action (that's the purpose of Memorial Day), and not active duty personnel, who become veterans one they leave service. And one more thing: There's no apostrophe).

HERE's the history of the holiday, which was called Armistice Day when it was established in 1918.

Soldiers of the 353rd Infantry near a church at Stenay, Meuse in France, wait for the end of hostilities.  This photo was taken at 10:58 a.m., on November 11, 1918, two minutes before the armistice ending World War I went into effect
