Electoral College

As expected, the members of the State of Alabama Electoral College cast their ballots for the losers in the 2020 Presidential Election at noon today.

Though it is a constitutionally required event in all 50 states, it is in most cases like watching red, white, and blue paint dry.

The only spark came when Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall talked abut the "fight not being over"---to scattered verbal approval....though it is over, the fight he and 16 other Attorneys General sought when they filed friend of the court briefs along with Attorneys General in 17 other states.

The Supreme Court wouldn't even hear the case.

Ironically, today's votes were case in the same old Alabama House Chamber where Alabama voted to secede from the union in 1861.

Alabama cast all of its nine electoral votes for Lame Duck President Donald Trump and Lame Duck Vice President Mike Pence, but by the end of this Monday, the full electoral college will have chosen Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to lead the nation starting on January 20th. The votes by the people---the "popular vote"--- had already done the same.
