Salvage teams finally completed the first of eight cuts designed to break the huge ship into eight pieces for transport to salvage yards in Louisiana.

And there is still varied reporting about the manufacturer of the crushed cars, with most reports describing them as "4,000 Hyundai vehicles".
Another description called them used Hyundai vehicles.
Officials with the Hyundai plant in Montgomery told us early this year there were no cars from the plant on board The Golden Ray, and papers released during a government hearing into the accident (which blamed improper loading for the accident) indicated they were GM vehicles.
