Who knew that companies, including Hyundai, actually train their manager how to be anti-union?
According to a Montgomery Advertiser story about a lawsuit alleging age discrimination:
"Hyundai senior managers said in depositions that (James Michael Keller was fired not because of his age but because he failed to properly squelch pro-union sentiment among his employees. Those pro-union sympathies led to pressure to resolve the situation from the automaker’s highest levels, according to plant leaders. They also said in depositions that managers at Keller’s level must take mandatory training on how to combat union sympathies among those they supervise."
Alabama is a "Right to Work" state (a brilliant piece of anti-union verbiage that translated, means, Alabama is an anti-union state).
I wonder if Hyundai can refuse to hire someone because they have posted pro-union statements online?
