When Do You Report A Doctor?

The Advocate Aurora Health Care pharmacist in Wisconsin who intentionally stored Covid19 vaccines in room temperature is now exposed as a conspiracy nut. He thought the vaccine would change people's DNA.

I had that in mind this morning as I read a Q&A column in the NY Times in which a woman described her initial contact with a new physician:

I recently moved to a new town and found a primary-care physician who seemed to check all the boxes, but during my initial exam, he went off on a lengthy diatribe about Bill Gates, delving deep into conspiracy theories about his being the evil mastermind behind the creation of the coronavirus and the architect of a secret sterilization program in Africa. He also revealed that although he very likely will be among the first to receive a coronavirus vaccine, he will put it in his fridge and wait until millions of others have taken it and proved that it works.

So how do patients find out if their medical professional, a doctor or pharmacist or nurse or whatever, is going to treat you following science or following some wacky conspiracy theory. And what do you do if you suspect it is the latter?

You can report the person to a variety of boards and agencies listed on this page from The Alabama Department of Public Health.
