Alabama the Integrity State

"Since our great state serves as a leader in election integrity, we (He and Secretary of State Merrill) discussed how we can point to Alabama’s policies for other states to follow."

                                     Rep. Barry Moore (R-2nd)

Not according to Roy Moore (no relation):

Roy Moore filed suit and claimed “systematic voter fraud”.

Not according toVerified Voting, a non-partisan organization focused exclusively on the critical role technology plays in election administration

"Alabama’s recount laws won’t do enough to protect voters’ votes because it has no audit structure in place and relies on re-tabulation – where ballots that were tabulated by optical scanners are now re-tabulated by machine. If a recount occurs, it cannot be relied on to detect and correct a potential error in the computerized count unless it is done manually."

And not according to The SPLC:

"Despite being at the epicenter of the voting rights movement of the 1960s, the state remains one of the most difficult places in the nation for an eligible voter to register and successfully cast a ballot. As other states have expanded access to the ballot box with sound policies for early voting, voter registration and voting by mail, Alabama’s policies, as this report shows, create and perpetuate obstacles, particularly for voters in marginalized communities."
