At 60th Anniversary of Freedom Rides

At a gathering to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Freedom Riders arrival in Montgomery. They were met by absent Montgomery Police...the officers left to give the KKK free reign to beat the riders.

The newly restored Greyhound bus acted as a backdrop for the panel discussion. Two of the riders were on the panel, along with author Bob Zellner, who's Book "Wrong Side of Murder Creek: A White Southerner in the Freedom Movement” film Director Barry Brown turned into the movie "Son of The South"

Actor Brad Napp talks about playing State Trooper Floyd Mann. Author Zeler is to the left, Director Barry Brown is to the right.

The Freedom Rides Museum is reflected in the newly restored Greyhound bus parked in front of the museum in downtown Montgomery tonight. This year is the museum's 10th anniversary.
