It has been ten years since the founding of a Germany company that produces summaries of books for people who have such a tight schedule they don't have the time to read entire books.
Think of it as a kind of Cliffnotes for busy adults.
Forgive this somewhat reading elitist dismissal, but maybe they should find the time to actually read the actual books? The reward will be significantly larger, and the author will earn a few cents from your purchase of the volume, as opposed to the summary to help you through a book club meeting.
The company website has a page extolling "the benefits of reading", though their company allows people to avoid doing just that.
HERE's a great story about the origin of Cliff Notes.
