Men Only Draft UPDATE

  

    I've been writing about it for decades, but the issue involved in a suit called National Coalition For Men v. Selective Service System, 20-928 may finally go before the U.S. Supreme Court soon.

     How can it be constitutional for only men at age 18 be required to register for the military draft?

     That may have made sense in 1950, but in 2020?

     The Court may decide as early as Monday whether to hear the case.

     My take: IF there is a draft, there is no way to limit it to only men.

     If the court agrees with me, it will end the entire military draft forever.

     Here's why:

A big military conflict breaks out, and there aren't enough volunteers to fill the need. A draft is called, and this time both women AND men are to be ordered by the government to report for service. American Mothers and Fathers will have to stand by while their daughters are forced to go to war. Think that will happen?

Right.

Bye Bye Draft. 

 UPDATE: The U.S. Supreme Court will NOT hear the arguments, deferring to Congress to make any changes.
