"The House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to award Capitol Police the Congressional Gold Medal for their role in defending the legislature during the Jan. 6 insurrection and protecting lawmakers from possible mob violence. The seemingly uncontroversial bill received 406 votes in the House, but that means that someone voted “no.” Twenty-one Republican someones, in fact, managed to vote against the commendation for the police."

The only Alabama U.S. House member among those voting against the measure? Rep. Barry Moore, (R-Montgomery)
So what can the good Representative say? The officers don't deserve the commendation because....pick one:
a) They failed to keep out the rioters?
b) They tried to prevent patriots from entering the building they helped pay for?
c) There was no insurrection, so no police action was needed?
d) If the Demo-rats want it, I'm agin' it.
