Alabama One of Nine States Ending Pandemic Unemployment Aid Saturday
Alabama is one of nine states ending federally-funded pandemic unemployment compensation effective Saturday, June 19.Gov. Kay Ivey announced in May that Alabama would end its participation.
“Alabama is giving the federal government our 30-day notice that it’s time to get back to work,” Gov. Ivey said in a statement.
(She also opposes Medicaid expansion...another effort on her part to save federal dollars?)
