I spotted an NPR story online this morning under the headline "Shots"....a page for their health stories.
And for a fleeting moment I thought: They FINALLY got rid of the stupid "Goats and Soda" name.
Alas, that is still the title NPR selected for its health BLOG.
They explain:
"We liked the name. It's lively. It's down to earth. And it's definitely original. A google search for "Goats and Soda" yielded zero results."
Uh yea, there's a reason for that.
There are also no results for "Stupid NPR Names" It too returned that "It looks like there aren't many great matches for your search" result. (though eventually this post will show up in searches).
Hey, I worked in Public Broadcasting for a decade, and I've been listening to NPR for as long as I can remember.
G&S is still the dumbest name I have heard in broadcasting.
AND I have nothing against goats. But please.
As I posted two years ago this Friday LET IT GO!
