I didn't see this fact included in any of the online stories I read about yesterday's renaming of Jeff Davis Avenue, but the city will be fined $25,000 by Attorney General Steve Marshall for violating the Kay Ivey confederate protection law.
Another $75,000 will be imposed by Marshall when the city renames three confederate-named schools.
And so on.
Now renamed Fred D. Gray Avenue
