Smuckers is going to build a $1.1-Billion plant in Jefferson County.
Smuckers was founded in 1897....Birmingham was founded in 1871, so they both have some history behind them.
The plant will make a relatively new Smuckers product:
Uncrustables. That appeals to me, since when I was a child I would cut the crust off sandwiches. And no, I no longer do so (though I'll still sometimes leave the crust on the plate) 😃
