The people who run the community center and thrift store in Montgomery named in honor of Martin Luther King aide Bayard Rustin are making sure some of their clients receive a gift bag this Christmas.
They placed items ranging from AM/FM radios to candy to new socks to small flashlights and canned hams in bags.
Some of their clients have no permanent place to live, and few resources. They have come to depend on the assistance offered by the center at 635 Madison Avenue at North Union Street.

The thrift store/community center is open mainly on Tuesdays and Fridays to shoppers and guests who have been vaccinated. Masks are required to help keep everyone safe!
