Another Critical Success!

 At 10:58 Montgomery Time this morning, NASA finished deploying the giant shade that will keep the new space telescope cool enough!

 

An amazing success, when you consider all of the moving parts had to work perfectly, and they did!

 

 

Next step, start unfolding the golden mirrors that will allow the instrument to see deeper into space (and time) than ever before.
