Today is the average day of the last frost in Montgomery...and although it was not an especially cold Winter here, I say good riddance.
I moved to Alabama from New York City in 1976, and The Big Apple's cold temperatures were a factor in that decision (those, and my need for a decent paying job!).

Last Sunday was the first day of Spring!
In Montgomery, there are 38.8 days annually when the nighttime low temperature falls below freezing, which is warmer than most places in Alabama.
