Irony @ The SPLC

It is, again, ironic to see picketing outside The Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery.

Workers there unionized several years ago, despite opposition from the SPLC.

Like many other organizations, employees have mostly been working from home because of Covid. But many are scheduled to return to their offices today, one of the

issues prompting the picketing at several of the SPLC locations, including here in Montgomery.

Negotiations continue between the new union and the SPLC.
The picketers say many black employees are being told to return to the office, while white workers stay home.

While workers complain about the working conditions at the organization, the Charity Navigator honors its mission and its work with a four star rating.

(P.S. The union discord, or perhaps I should say "Anti-Union discord"...is also underway in Bessemer, just outside Birmingham, where a group of Amazon employees are fighting for union representation.)
