.....but yesterday she announced $3.7-Billion dollars in support for struggling transit systems in 18 states...
...and Alabama was not one of them.
From US News & World Report:
"The money would be used to prop up day-to-day operations, including staffing and payroll as well as cleaning and sanitization to limit the spread of illness in public transportation. A federal mask mandate for public transit remains in effect until at least March 18."
Honestly, Alabama doesn't support mass transit very much...the state prefers cars on highways.
But I'll bet those systems that do exist, in the larger cities, would argue they need cash too!
