45 years have passed since the murder of Virginia Simpson, a wealthy arts benefactor who was killed in her 1930 mansion atop Red Mountain in Birmingham.....her body was discovered by the maid, bringing her breakfast.
As far as I know, there have been no developments since her son, James II, called "Popsie" was charged, and then saw the charges dropped.
He is, as far as I can determine, alive in Birmingham.
I have asked before, and I repeat the appeal again. If you want an interview, please contact me, Popsie.
Nobody else was ever arrested in the case.

After the murder, people began speculating the house was cursed because of other events: Theodore Swann started building the house in 1927 and named it Chaucer Hall. He went bankrupt and ended up living in the cellar and trapped rabbits for food. The second owner died in a plane crash.
The wife of the third owner went blind while living in the house. The
Simpsons were the fourth owners and Joe Simpson died shortly after his
wife was murdered. Because everyone who owned the house had bad luck,
people started saying the house was cursed. (Source HERE)
