Three PK-5 Montgomery Public Schools will be receiving money from the state. $10-Million will be provided to 14 schools, including three in Montgomery.
Chisolm Elementary
Dozier Elementary
Highland Gardens Elementary
All three have a majority black enrollment, and six out of every ten students receive free lunches, indicative of poverty. Only one---Chisolm---was on the state's most recent list of "Failing" schools.
