Goodby AGAIN, Recycling

The city of Montgomery is ending it controversial "dirty" recycling agreement with RepowerSouth...deciding the agreement doesn't work anymore.

Every time I toss my trash out I've wondered how it was expected to work in the first place!

Bacon grease in the trash on top of the left-over chicken bones on top of the magazines on top of the milk container.....and the magic multi-million dollar plant they cut the ribbon for (again!) in 2020 would somehow clean and recycle it all?

Right.

January 2020, cutting the ribbon on the plant (again!)

It just never made sense, and now it is for sale. The city claims to have a buyer already. How much money was lost in that pipe-dream project?

Maybe they can go back to the original orange bag program that, at the very least, provided employment for some special needs people who sorted the theoretical recyclable materials residents put in the orange bags, and may have made a dent in reducing the trash going to landfill.

Now back to zero.
