Television stations traditionally provide free haircuts to their on-air personalities because it allows the station to control the way they look.
That had the effect of preventing me from experimenting with hair styles and facial hair during the 25 years or so when I worked in TV.
Now that I am retired, at least from TV, I'm free to wear my hair however I want...and to pay for the cuts after all of those years of freebies!

These days I'm wearing a bit of fuzz on my face, and sometimes brushing the hair back, without a part.
During my radio years I sometime wore my hair long and curly....or non-de script.

And here's one photo that shows no matter what kind of haircut I'm wearing, NOT smiling kills any look! 😀
