The dome on the $35-Million 1994 Alabama Judicial Building has undergone a much needed cleaning.
Grime had turned the dome black, but in October crews used high pressure hoses to clean it, and the result is spectacular.
That's the Dexter-King Memorial Church in the foreground.
The Judicial building houses state appeals courts and the state law library, which was originally inside the Alabama Capitol Building.
That library area was the first expansion of the original Capitol Building, at the back of the Supreme Court Chamber.
The space---empty now--- is now used for special events.
