 (left) Yours truly at Ft. Jackson South Carolina, having just finished basic training and soon heading to the military radio/TV/Journalism school at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis.

 

By the end of the year I would be on my way to Quang Tri, Vietnam, anchoring the nightly news on the military TV station there.
