All polling results are dependent on how the question is phrased, and a new poll from The Alabama Republican Party is a good example.
They asked some 1,600 registered voters in Alabama a series of questions including "protecting children from Woke Policies"., which 49% of self-identified Republicans told the pollsters is the most important issue to them. Only 15% of "Democrat--(sic*)--Voters said it is their top concern
The pollsters did not define "woke policies"....but woke is a code word they have been trained to react to negatively, and if that wasn't enough of an alert, asking about "protecting children" lets them know there's bad stuff happening.
I would love to see the results of a follow up question: Please define "Woke Policies". Here is one common definition.
Here's the GOP poll.
*It's "Democratic" not "Democrat" voters, as the pollsters know.
