Opinion: Fort Fight

DeSantis pledge: I'll rename the base for the slavery supporter:

“I also look forward to, as president, restoring the name of Fort Bragg...It’s an iconic name and an iconic base, and we’re not going to let political correctness run amok in North Carolina,” DeSantis said as the crowd continued to cheer.

     So it is not much of a stretch to see that "AS PRESIDENT"...he would rename Alabama's Fort Novocel back to Ft. Rucker as well. It was originally named for Rucker in 1942.

And BTW, DeSantis: it was political INcorrectness that led to the fort being named for a man who supported killing American servicemen in the first place.
