I am prompted to post this today because I have just now read a story about some adults who took part in the Children's Crusade in Birmingham during the Civil Rights Era traveling to New York earlier this month to thank the firemen who opposed that city's use of fire hoses against the children who were marching in support of Civil Rights.
And while I'm at it....at the risk of offending some adults who favor laws against telling the truth about those years...I'm also recommending this page as a place where parents can show their children what really happened back then.
