From a ranking in The Athletic via The N.Y. Times HERE:
Vannini: He’s the greatest college football coach of all time, and he’s done it in an era when it should be a lot harder to sustain success, with fewer scholarships and talent consolidation among his SEC rivals. Nick Saban has won a record seven national championships, and every four-year player for him has won at least one national title. This past NFL Draft marked 12 consecutive years with at least seven Alabama players drafted. His former protege Kirby Smart is on the rise with consecutive national championships, and this year’s Alabama team has its question marks, but Saban remains the clear No. 1.
Feldman: I agree on Saban. He’s the best (sic) that’s ever done it, and it’s not even close. Some people have been waiting for him to backslide and start to tail off, but in the past three years, the Crimson Tide have finished No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5, and they responded to that No. 5 finish by signing the No. 1 recruiting class in the country with nine five-stars!
(Note: even in a sports story...not my usual venue...grammar counts.
"that’s ever done it"
NO
It's who's ever done it.
Sigh.)
