What was the name of this school in Montgomery behind the current city court building?
HERE is the location.
Answer: It WAS Paterson Elementary:
Paterson Elementary school in Montgomery Alabama closed in 2007. At
one time it served 153 students from K-5th grade with a student to
teacher ratio of a very low 10:1, one of the lowest in the state. The
school's students were 99% African American and was operated by the
Montgomery County School District.
And a more important question: why has the city not torn it down in the fifteen years since it was closed?
(Update: I've asked the school PR person for an update on the statue of the property, but have not received a reply).
