LCS Montgomery

 The ship named for Alabama's Capitol has long been identified as one likely to be decommissioned and sold to a "friendly" navy.

There's no specific mention of The Montgomery in it, but a story at the www.NavalNews website indicates some of the LCS ships may be headed to Greece.

"The Hellenic Navy is closer than ever to procure Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) following a letter from US Secretary of State allocating four vessels to Greece."

 

 

 

The USS Montgomery is part of another class of LCS ships, the Independence Class, but the Greece story developments are close enough to bear watching.
