My first TV gig--1970 in Quang Tri Vietnam

 

     All of the AFVN TV stations broadcast on Channel 11, though the number of military personnel who were able to watch was relatively small.

     We aired a short nightly newscast which was closely monitored by officers, deleting material that could be a benefit for the North Vietnam officials who monitored our broadcasts, or which could hurt the morale of U.S. personnel. 

I turned 20 in Vietnam.
