Tuesday's Alabama Primary Election gives Democrats a early chance to vote against Donald Trump...if they are willing to switch over and vote in the Republican Primary.
The downside of that decision is that it would block them from taking part in possible Democratic runoff elections. Voters will have to choose which of the two Primary Elections in which they want to vote. No, they can only vote in one.
Why would Democrats want to vote in the GOP Primary in the first place? They could help elect a GOP candidate LESS likely to win in the General election, thus helping the Democratic nominee, though Trump is the presumed winner of the GOP Presidential contest. Down ballot contests are another question.
Small comfort, but it would give those Democrats a chance to vote against Trump even before the General election.
