Opinion vs News

From a Montgomery Advertiser column:

Talking heads on podcasts and news shows and radio and TV “broadcast journalists” those who covered the conventions and countless others, are giving the public the “news,” colored by their own opinion and beliefs. 

Note the quotes columnist Elaine Harris Spearman has placed around the phrase "Broadcast journalists". What? Why take a cheap shot at the many men and women who have devoted their careers to broadcast news, including me!

It is especially ironic, coming from a woman who's job is opinion writing!
